Born For Such a Time as This

Let's continue talking about raising Godly children. It can seem impossible in the world that we live in. From television to movies to the challenging education system to today's culture itself, our kids are being told that morality is fluid and to accept the abnormal as normal and biblical morals as irrelevant.

Allow me to address this by first saying, as parents, and yes, as the church, we must define what moral relativism is versus Godly character. Our culture is saying, "what's right or wrong for you is up to you." When this type of moral standard is adopted, societies crumble, marriages fail, homes collapse, and children suffer. Every parent needs to have this conversation with their children, as well as support the Bible being the standard of conduct taught to live by.

Don't be afraid to talk about cultural issues that your child will face. Remember, your conversation with a six year old will be different than with a teenager. Either way, the conversation is needed and necessary. Please take your parenting role seriously.

Your kids were born for such a time as this. They are called to be godly examples, to bear the image of Christ to the world.
