A WORD FOR THE JOURNEY

This past week, I have had to be at the hospital a couple of times. Many times, these visits include more waiting than anything. During this time, there isn't much to do, but watch other people.

When at the hospital, the one thing that you realize is that most of these people don't want to be there. They are there out of necessity. While we were there, we were able to talk to one of the wives. You could hear the concern in her voice. We assured her that we would pray for her.

A hospital is representative of much of our world. Many of those that are there are desperate for an answer. Others are simply awaiting a ray of hope. The desperation may be for different reasons, but the need for hope is the same.

Today, you are in a house of hope. It is a hope that we have because Jesus is risen. It is the message that enables us to face life every day. It is a message that we can share with a desperate world.

Romans 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.
