A WORD FOR THE JOURNEY

Tey were in the Upper Room and the Holy Ghost fell for the first time. They were not caught up in the music or carried away by a feeling. They were experiencing the presence of God in a way they never had before. No priest, no prophet, no king had experienced what they had the privilege to experience in that moment. There was nothing that could hold them back from experiencing God in all of His fullness and glory.

Isn't it incredible that the same Holy Ghost that they received in the Book of Acts is available to us today? The angels, though they experience God's presence, cannot have Him on the inside of them! Moses, though he experienced God's presence, could have never imagined what you and I have the privilege of receiving when we completely surrender, allowing the Holy Ghost entrance.

Many believe that the Holy Ghost stopped with the Book of Acts, but how is the church to walk in power and authority without the Name of Jesus applied? Without, as Layla says, Jesus living in our hearts? The simple and concise answer is we can't. I know many that say that the Holy Ghost is a gifting and not necessary, but my question is, why wouldn't you want more of Him? Grasp the free gift God offers and if you completely surrender, you won't regret it.
