What We Reflect

We've been talking about raising our children. The thing about children is that they are like sponges. When our kids were little, they would soak up everything: good and bad. They would even imitate our gestures. As they got older, I could tell who they were hanging around with.

I often think of it this way: the moon reflects light from the sun. As Christians, we should reflect the nature and character of Jesus. Here's why that's important: if we truly reflect Him and shine His glory, others will--including our children. They will be influenced by our commitment and faithfulness.

As parents and grandparents, we have a responsibility to teach our children what is important to God.
